Many years after graduating from college, two Skidmore girls met while living in Weston, CT. One is an artist, the other a writer. Both were on a boat, both were drinking rosé. Through their rosé-colored glasses, they had an epiphany (as one often does)! Together, they came up with a tiny, old school idea of how to make a big impact on the world: note cards!

I have been drawing cartoons — primarily of my family — for as long as I can remember. Although my cartoons are most made up of lots of squiggly lines, I do have some formal training in the arts. Drawing is a means of both learning and explaining things – it’s rare that I can get through a conversation without rooting around for pen and paper (bar napkin or ATM receipt) to diagram whatever concept is being explored. I write children’s books (the Urban Babies Wear Black series and the You See, I See series), freelance articles about architecture and design (link), blog posts, and many, many letters! I have a tendency to be slightly competitive, so if you want be amused just scream, “GO!” in my vicinity and see what happens...
